Traffic Updates and Student Drop Off/Pick Up Information
September 2, 2025
Several traffic and flood mitigation projects are currently underway around St. Brendan School. This will result in some added traffic congestion and potentially detours. EPCOR is constructing a dry pond in Ottewell Park to the north and west of the school. You will see heavy equipment being operated and large trucks around the park and on 94 and 94A Avenues and 58 Street for the next few months. You can read more about the dry pond construction, its timeline, and what to expect by reading the:
The community of Ottewell is also undergoing neighbourhood renewal, which means new sidewalks and additional road closures. You can read about the latest road closures on the City of Edmonton's page.
Currently, the best way to access the school is to come in from 90 Avenue and turn north onto 58 Street. As a school team, we deeply value students’ safety and understand how busy drop-off and pick-up times can be. We believe that a collective effort from our families, staff, and community members can make a significant difference to ensure the safety of everyone coming to and from our site.
